Why
Custom-fit?
Because few people are the same fit!
Is it sensible for someone who is 5 feet 4 inches
tall, to have the same set make-up as another, who is 6 feet 4 inches
in height?
Of course not.
But this is how most clubs are sold “off
the rack” in the high street and the internet leaving you
the customer to choose from only aesthetics and price.
Remember the "sure it’ll do fine "
attitude starts you with a bogey!
If you are serious about playing better and thus
more enjoyable golf, i would encourage you to do two things. Book
a series of golf lessons with a pga qualified professional so that
practice becomes more purposeful, and, ask a clubmaker to custom-fit
your next set of clubs. In fact, purchasing another set might not
be required, as it is possible to make alterations to your present
set for a modest sum, ie. Length, lie angle and grip size can all
be modified.
In custom fitting there are 3 key areas to look
for improvement,
Accuracy...
distance... trajectory...
Regardless of your ability as a ball striker everyone
needs a golf club with the proper lie angle and length according
to their specific build, a grip size that attaches their hands comfortably
to the club, a shaft that accelerates through the hitting area transmitting
feel and solidness of hit to the golfer, with a head shape that
is properly weighted and balanced with a centre of gravity positioned
low enough to propel the ball forward at the proper launch angle
[ trajectory ] to maximize their distance and accuracy.
We at stormergolf.com consider these parameters
very seriously before recommending, building or altering clubs for
our customers.
